Show and Tell

Reblog from April 8, 2009. It’s been said that everything we ever really needed to learn we learned in kindergarten and the sandbox. While that is a bit simplistic, there were some valuable lessons learned there. Show and tell is a particularly fond memory for, something that excited us and something we looked forward to. I wonder what changed as we grew older and “wiser.”

The Brew Is A Musing

Philemon 6I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith. (NIV 1978)

My Musings – Witnessing is more than just how we “show” our faith by how we live our lives. It is also about how we “share” our faith in words. People need evidence (show) and testimony (share) in order to reach a verdict about accepting Christ.

My Advice – Don’t be afraid to share your faith with others. Some will reject, some will ridicule, some will hate. But none of this is directed at you. And remember, some will accept Christ, and that is a great thing to be a part of.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
