To Do, Or Not To Do?

Originally blogged May 2, 2019. There are always opportunities to do the good we ought to do. During this particular season that the world is going through there are all the more. Of course, we cannot do it all, but we ought to do what God calls us to.

The Brew Is A Musing

James 4:17Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins. (NIV 1978)

My Musings – It is not enough to avoid doing things we should not do. We must also not leave undone the things we know we should do.

My Advice – You will not always be called to solve all the ills around you. But where you know that God is calling you to action and it is within your power to take action (and it will be because God always equips the called) make sure you follow through. It may not be easy, but it will be rewarding.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
