“You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins.” (John 8:23–24, NIV 1984).
My Musings – To stand before a righteous and holy God in our sins is not something we want to do. There is nothing we can do to avoid appearing before Him. For it is appointed to man to face Him and be judged. If we appear before Him on our own merits we stand condemned for all eternity.
My Advice -Believe that Jesus is who He claimed to be — the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except though Him. We can be summoned by Him (and we must appear), but we cannot come to Him, except through Jesus. Then we can boldly approach the throne of grace.
