Where Are You?

The LORD God called to the man, “[Adam], where are you?”  (Genesis 3:9, NIV 1984).

“By this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again.” (Hebrews 5:12, NIV 1984).

“You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?” (Galatians 5:7, NIV 1984).

My Musings“[Insert your name here], where are you?”  How would you have to respond?  Honestly?  Are you where you would like to be?  Are you where should be “by this time” in your life? Have you been slow to grow in Christ? Have stubborn habits “cut in on you” and taken you off (down) course?  You cannot change how you advance in chronological age.  But there is much you can do to improve how you advance in you in Spiritual age.  The question is, how strong is your commitment?

My Advice – We will stand before Him some day.  What will we have to show?  Will it be “the whole measure of the fullness of Christ?”  At the very least we can make every effort to ensure that it’s in “increasing measure.”  Let’s get on with it.  “Let’s roll.”  If you need help, check out my book “Got Spiritual Milk?” in the Store.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
