“To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd. You save the humble, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low.” (2 Samuel 22:26–28, NIV 1984).
My Musings – There’s a lot of haughtiness going on these days. This is not the way to approach the Lord God Almighty. There is only one way to approach Him. In humility, through His Son Jesus Christ. He who “humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!” (Philippians 2:8, NIV 1984). He who was also faithful, blameless and pure. In Christ, this is the way the Father sees us as well. Outside of faith in Christ, we are crooked and depraved.
My Advice – How do you want to show yourself to God? If faithful, blameless and pure, you must humble yourself and accept His terms — be born again.
