Can We Understand & Know God?

Jeremiah 9:23, 24 – “Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.(NIV 1978)

My Musings – We often boast about the wrong things. We are foolish to boast about our wisdom. It is a weakness in our character to boast about our strength. And our values are bankrupt if we boast about our riches. Knowing and understanding God is all the wisdom, strength and riches that we will ever need.

My Advice – Do not rely too much on your education, physical health, strength, or the possessions that you acquire in life. They cannot delight as much as kindness…
