The Days of Elijah

“When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, ‘The LORD—he is God! The LORD—he is God!’”   (1 Kings 18:39).

My Musings – As it was in the days of Elijah, today the one thing that is clear is “The LORD – He is God!”  Whether you are happy or disappointed in the way the Presidential election is leaning in the United States, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, who was, and is, and is to come.  Though the days we are in and the ones to come may be “days of great trial,” the words that ring loud and clear are not “hail to the chief” (whoever that will be), but rather “Prepare ye the way of the Lord!” Look to His coming, look to the east.  Behold He will come, “riding on the clouds…and out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.”  We’re just “Biden” our time until the final “Trump.”

My Advice – “The LORD – He is God!” If you cannot say this, you can only look to the East with great anxiety.  This need not be.  Accept the sacrifice of His Son on “Zion’s hill” —  on Golgotha.  It was there that righteousness was restored.

There’s no God like Jehovah!  There is no Salvation apart from His Son!

Days of Elijah
by – Robin Mark

These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the word of the Lord:
And these are the days of Your servant Moses
Righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial
Of famine and darkness and sword
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying
‘Prepare ye the way of the Lord!’

Behold He comes riding on the clouds
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call
Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.

There’s no God like Jehovah.
There’s no God like Jehovah!

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
