Watch Where You Walk

God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. (1 John 1:5–6, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Seems pretty plain and logical. One cannot walk in darkness and and have fellowship with Him is light and no darkness at all. To claim otherwise can be nothing but a lie.

My Advice – Move back into the light to restore fellowship. “If we confess our sins [walking in darkness], he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness [and restore the fellowship].” (1 John 1:8–9, NIV 1984).

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
