Already Been There

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (John 1:1, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Beginning, the point at which something starts.  Was, the past tense of be.  Be, to exist or live.  In other words, before anything else had its start, the Word (Christ) already was.  Before time, space, and matter began, He already was.  He is not bound by, but rather exists outside of all of these. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8, NIV 1984).  We think in terms of past, present and future.  The Godhead are all of these, yet all of these are inadequate to capture the essence of their being.

My Advice – As we “begin” a new year, it should comfort us to know, that the Word already was there.  He was before us, goes before us, and yet remains with us.  Do not go into the New Year without the Word firmly planted in your life.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.

  1. It was from nothingness that the Only One True God created everything. At the beginning angels,Jesus nor you or we were there. After the creation of everything out of the void God created man in His image and out of the seed of that man would come Jesus after king David (and not before). Though like you and others are already written in the Book of life and death, Jesus too was already written in that book. He also was already mentioned in the garden of Eden, long before Abraham was born. But Jesus at that time did not exist. He only came into being many centuries later. The promise of God came only in the flesh in 4BCE October 17 and not earlier. Though God His Word was already from the beginning. It is by the Speaking of god that matters were created. Not by the speaking of Jesus Christ. He and God are two totally different Biblical characters which you seem to consider as one and the same, which they are not at all. Jesus is the lower being, even been lower than angels at first.
