Well Done
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” (Luke 16:10, NIV 1984).
My Musings – “If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.” Martin Luther King Jr. I suspect that God is just as interested in us doing small things great, as He is in us doing great things.
A widow…[with] only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. (1 Kings 17:12, NIV 1984).
A boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish. (John 6:9, NIV 1984).
A poor widow…[with] two very small copper coins. (Luke 21:2, NIV 1984).
My Advice – No matter how small the thing you think you are doing for the Lord, do it in a great (faithful) way. It will get a “well done” from the Master just as if it was a great thing. Because it is in His eyes.
I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
