“You did not choose me, but I chose you.” (John 15:15–16, NIV 1984).
My Musings – It was not so very long ago that the question was what else but Christianity? Now the question we must be prepared to answer is why Christianity?
Perhaps because it is the only religion whose God is seeking a relationship with man, while other religions have man seeking a relationship with their god.
Perhaps because it is the only religion with a Savior that provides man a pathway to God, where other religions have man making their own paths to their god.
Perhaps because it is the only religion where the Spirit of God comes to live within man, where other religions have no such concept.
Perhaps it is because it is the only religions where the grave of its founder is empty.
Perhaps because it is the only religion where man does not earn his salvation, but where God paid for man’s salvation.
Perhaps because it is the only religion where man does not transform himself in order to meet God, but where after meeting God man is transformed by God.
Why Christianity? What else other than Christianity? Why would people find it so credible that there is only one God (only one can be supreme), but so incredible that there would be only one Savior, only one path to God?
My Advice – Why Christianity? Perhaps now is the time you asked, why not Christianity? It is the only religion that makes any sense.
