Born AgainHe was a prominent religious leader, a member of the ruling class called the Pharisees. His name was Nicodemus. He was used to people approaching him for answers, usually regarding questions of religious importance. He was supposed to have all the answers, and yet he felt compelled to approach this itinerant preacher from Galilee, who was really a carpenter by trade. And, as Nicodemus was to learn, being a religious authority did not always mean he knew all the answers. But he had found someone who did. His name was Jesus.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
