Deceit

The Brew Is A Musing

Psalm 101:7 – No one who practices deceit will dwell in My house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in My presence. (NIV 1978)

My Musings – There are many ways in which we can practice deceit other than speaking falsely. We can insinuate, misdirect, fail to correct misconceptions, exaggerate, little white lies, keeping silent when we should speak up, looking the other way, taking false actions, etc. …

My Advice – Be a person of your word, someone that others can always depend upon to speak and act truthfully. Make sure you do so with compassion and love.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
