You have wearied the LORD with your words. “How have we wearied him?” you ask. By saying, “All who do evil are good in the eyes of the LORD, and he is pleased with them” or “Where is the God of justice?” (Malachi 2:17, NIV 1984).

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. (Malachi 3:2–3).

My Musings – Wearied. Having one’s patience, tolerance, or pleasure exhausted. “How have we wearied him?” By calling evil good (things that are offensive to God), and accusing God of not being good when we witness things that are unjust in our eyes (things that are offensive to us). I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives.
