Going My Way?

Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear: Should you not fear me?” declares the LORD. “Should you not tremble in my presence? But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away. (Jeremiah 5:21–23, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Stubborn and rebellious when there should be fear and trembling. We turn aside to go our own way. How foolish and senseless.  This was an exhortation to the nation of Israel loan ago.  One would think we would learn from them.

My Advice – It’s time we came to our senses.  Time to turn back to go His way.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
