“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you.” (John 16:2–4 and 15:18-19, NIV 1984).
My Musings – I don’t know how you would find that no one was sad to see you go, because you would be gone. But a time is coming when we should have a pretty good idea. The world system is tightening its grip on mankind, and those not part of that system will at best be shunned and at worst be killed. We will be hated because we do not fall in line, just like they hated Christ because He spoke with authority against that world system.
My Advice – We have been warned, so we should not be surprised. Warned to expect it, but not warned to stop doing the work of and spreading the word about the Kingdom of God.
