“I the LORD do not change.” (Malachi 3:6, NIV 1984).
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:7–8, NIV 1984).
“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth.” (John 14:16–17, NIV 1984).
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” (Luke 21:33, NIV 1984).
My Musings – As a general rule, people dislike change and prefer the familiar. But sometimes people will affect change to protect the familiar. Case in point, people are increasingly reinterpreting Scripture to justify worldly habits and pleasures that they do not want to change. Essentially doing away with the need to repent. And if that means reinventing God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, then that is what they will do. Which, in essence, amounts denying that they are who the Scriptures (before their reinterpretation) say they are.
My Advice – Do not be taken in by those who reinterpret and reinvent.
