Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.” (John 3:1–2, NIV 1984).
My Musings – It is not enough to believe that He was just a teacher sent by God. He was the Savior sent by God. It is not enough to believe that God was merely with Him. He was God in the flesh. It is not enough that He is one of many paths to God. He is the only path.
My Advice – Who do you say He is? “When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ They replied, ‘Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ ‘But what about you?’ he asked. ‘Who do you say I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’” (Matthew 16:13–16, NIV 1984). If you say anything less than this, it will not be enough.
