“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23–24, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Not everyone will cross an ocean to a new country, learn a new language and adapt to a new culture to become a missionary. Not everyone will fill a pulpit or teach at a seminary. Not everyone will write a best-selling inspirational book. But God takes what we have and multiplies it into what we need to serve Him in whatever He has called us to do.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
