My Musings– The saying goes that those who do not remember their history are doomed to repeat it. Here, Belshazzar knew his family history quite well. Yet he repeated the sins of his father. His father was eventually restored. Not so Belshazzar. That very night he was slain and his kingdom fell to the Medes.
In America, we are very well aware of our Judeo Christian heritage. A heritage that served us well for four hundred years (an interesting time span), since 1620.
