
The LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.” Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? My Musings – It’s easy to feel forsaken and forgotten these days. But not by God. People are fickle. Governments rise and fall. The “darlings” of Wall Street come and go. A time is coming where even “brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.” (Mark 13:12, NIV 1984).
