“My brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.” (Acts 13:38–39, NIV 1984).
All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because “The righteous will live by faith.” (Galatians 3:10–11, NIV 1984).
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8–9, NIV 1984).
My Musings – We cannot “be justified from everything…by the law of Moses,” because we cannot “continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Simple logic. It is only “through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed.” Simple act of faith. Salvation is “not from [ourselves], it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Simple conclusion.
My Advice – Do (“not by works“) what is logical (“by grace…through faith“).
