
I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. My Musings – In my pre-teen years, I was in a bicycle race with an older brother and a neighbor friend. I say race because I was racing them. I am not so sure they were racing me. But at that age, being ahead of an older brother in a race feels real good. Looking back over my left shoulder I yelled, “I’m winning, I’m winning!”
