The Brew Is A Musing

Being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:8, NIV 1984).

“My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.” (John 18:36, NIV 1984).

My Musings – As Jesus hung on that cross, the eternal destiny of mankind hung in the balance with Him. Legions of angels were at His disposal. His Father, who had spoken the universe into existence could have spoken it back out of existence. All Jesus had to do was say the word — enough! Instead, He cried, “it is finished!” There was really never any doubt.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
