Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:10, NIV 1984).
You will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29, NIV 1984).
My Musings – There are those who question God’s goodness and justice, when it comes to the “wages of sin.” (Romans 6:23). But they fail to take into consideration “the gift of God.” (Romans 6:23). All it takes is to seek Him and trust in Him, “through Jesus Christ our LORD.” (Romans 6:23).
This is no idle threat (the “wages”) or promise (the “gift”). His justice demands that the wages be paid, His mercy permits a payment (gift) by His Son. And God has “never forsaken those who seek [him].” And He never will, because “it is impossible for God to lie.” (Hebrews 6:18, NIV 1984).
My Musings – God’s justice and mercy intersect at the Cross. His goodness made a way for mercy, if we seek Him with all our heart and soul. If not, all that remains is His justice.
