Secrets Revealed

The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29, NIV 1984).

My Musings – As is our nature, we do not like secrets. We do not like being kept in the dark. We usually demand answers. What we often get in return are excuses, half-truths or outright lies. Trust, fragile to begin with, begins to breaks down. Such is the state of the fallen world that we live in.

In recent years, we have increasingly extended this mistrust to God. Demanding answers for things that are none of our business. He owes us no explanations. There are secret things that belong to Him and things He has revealed to us. What He has revealed should be sufficient. He is the Creator and we are the created. …

I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives.
