Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you.” (Acts 3:6, NIV 1984).

My Musings – What do you have to give? If you have been called into His Kingdom, you have plenty.

It may very well be “silver or gold.” If so, give in accordance with the measure that God has blessed. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” (Malachi 3:10, NIV 1984).

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
