I, Even I

“Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “that I am God. Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” (Isaiah 43:10–14, NIV 1984).

My Musings – None before, because He always was. None after, because He will always be. No Savior, no salvation apart from Him through His Son. No matter what the majority of the culture might proclaim. When He acted to save us on Calvary, like Jesus said, “it is finished.” When He rose from the dead the Father was proclaiming, “who can reverse it?” Only someone who came before Him or who remains after He is gone. As we have seen, no one.

My Advice – If you are held in His hand, no one can deliver (“snatch“) you from His grip. In relationship with Him, until His “death do us part.” That is, forever. If you have not already done so, place your faith and your future in the secure hands of God the Son.
