The Brew Is A Musing

My Musings – In “It’s Not In The Book!” Ruthanna Metzgar, a professional singer, relates the following story.  She was once asked to sing at the wedding of a millionaire.  The reception was held on the top two floors of Seattle’s Columbia Tower, the Northwest’s tallest skyscraper.  To gain entrance to the lavish feast, guests were greeted by a gentleman with a bound book.  After giving her name (and spelling it out) she was informed that her name was not in the book and that he could not let her pass.  Pleading her case, ““I am the singer. I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
