The Most Reasonable Belief

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” (Psalm 53:1, NIV 1984).

My Musings – “To continue in atheism, I would need to believe nothing produces everything, non-life produces life, randomness produces fine-tuning, chaos produces information, unconsciousness produces consciousness, and non-reason produces reason.  I simply don’t have that much faith.” (Lee Strobel).  “The most reasonable belief is that we came from nothing, by nothing, for nothing.”  (Quentin Smith).

Two beliefs on opposite ends of the spectrum. Which do you believe is the most reasonable belief (that which an ordinary person of average intelligence and sound mind would believe)?  From nothing, by nothing, for nothing (“foolish wisdom of the world“) or from nothing , by someone, for a reason (‘the most reasonable belief’)?

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
