All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  (2 Timothy 3:16–17, NIV 1984). 

My Musings – If we’ve learned anything in the past few years, it’s be careful where you get your information.  If you have the above “handbook” you might want to be extra cautious on what else is in the book.  We laugh, for of course we know there is no such book.  But when it comes to matters of spirituality there are all kinds of books out there that are just as suspect.  Thus, it is vitally  important (“above all“) that we  “understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
