The Brew Is A Musing

The LORD is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. (Psalm 27:1–3, NLT 2015).

My Musings – Let me re-phrase that.  If I claim the LORD is my light and my salvation, why should I be afraid?  What could possibly cause me to be afraid?  If I believe that the LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, why should I tremble?  What could possibly cause me to tremble?

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
