My Musings – “Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” A little rhyme we used to say when we were kids and other kids were trash talking to us. Of course, words can and do hurt. Whether said in person, behind someone’s back or posted on social media. Once said, or written, they cannot be taken back. Friendships, marriages and other relationships can be irreparably damaged. They can even ignite wars. Even the truth can be “weaponized” if…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
