May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. Proverbs 5:18, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Fifty-one years ago today, I met a girl. Life would never be the same. This August, I lost that girl. Life will never be the same. In between the meeting and the losing God blessed me with the most incredible life-partner. As one, we experienced richer and poorer, better and worse, sickness and health. Until death parted us. No longer one together, but one alone, I feel less than half. But I will always be thankful for all the seasons God gave us together. I will continue to rejoice over the wife of my youth, the woman I grew older with.
My Advice – “Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 9:9, NIV 1984). It’s only meaningless if you allow it to be.

Your testimony of love for your dear wife pulled at my heart strings. The way you expressed your oneness with her-the woman you grew older with-was touching and inspirational. Thank you for sharing your beautiful reflections, Steve.

Thanks Nancy. We always wish we had a little more of growing older, but all the difficulties she in endured in this life are now over. For that I am glad.

Steve, you know you are in my prayers daily. I feel your loss in my mind and heart and I am acutely aware of two becoming one. A new morning awaits you when that light will shine again. Blessings, brother.
