For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all he does. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm. (Psalm 33:4, 9, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Man can speak words are true, but all too often they are not right. When God speaks, His words are always both “right and true.” Man can be faithful to a certain extent, but not in all that he does. God is always “faithful in all He does.” Man makes all kind of promises, without the certainty of being able to make them come to be. When God makes a promise, He always fulfills it. When man commands, things do not always get done or stand firm. When God commands it happens and it stands.
My Advice – It is no wonder that “Peter and the other apostles [said]: ‘we must obey God rather than men!'” (Acts 5:29, NIV 1984). We should do the same.
