The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him. My Musings – “They saw Him…but some doubted.” No matter how compelling the evidence, some will doubt. It may be compelling enough for them to listen, after all the only thing the disciples had to go on was what the women told them, yet they went to Galilee to see for themselves. But once “they saw Him…some doubted.”
My Advice – Even today, some refuse to even go to see the evidence. Others, despite seeing the evidence continue to doubt. All we can do as believers is to continue to present the evidence, as we have opportunity. We cannot make them believe.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18–20, NIV 1984).
