These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:5–9, NIV 1984).
My Musings – In essence, our lives should be so saturated with God’s Word that its guidance is virtually automatic in every situation we encounter in this life, be it big or small. The proverbial sixth sense of every Christian.
My Advice – “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore, I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:103–105, NIV 1984). Make sure it is all this, and more. It will never steer you wrong.
