If…

“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.” (John 15:7–8, NIV 1984).

My Musings – What do you think “whatever you wish” would look like if you were to “remain in [Him] and [His] words [were to] remain in you?” What kind of wishes would likely “[be] to [His] Father’s glory?” That would most likely show us “to be [His] disciples?” Makes you rethink the word “if.”

My Advice – What kind of “fruit” would our wishes “bear?” Selfish or self-serving wishes need not apply.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
