When I [write] to you [readers], I [do] not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as [I proclaim] to you the testimony about God. For I [resolve] to write nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified. My [musings are] not with wise and persuasive words, but [it is my hope] with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on [my so-called] ‘wisdom,’ but on God’s power.” (1 Corinthians 2:1-5, NIV 1984 ).
My Musings – Clearly Paul’s writings were inspired, while my musings are not. At least not in the same sense. I think that I write them as much for my benefit as my readers. But as I am given insights, I cannot wait to share them. They might not be new to you, and frequently they are not to me either, but they soothe my soul nonetheless. I hope they soothe and encourage you as well.
My Advice – Look beyond my frequent lack of eloquence and inferior wisdom, to the verses upon which my musings are based. Soli Deo Gloria!
