Wait Until Your Father Gets Home

God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.  Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.” (John 3:17–18, 36, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Ever hear those words?  Probably most of us have.  How many of us, after hearing these words, just couldn’t wait?  I thought so.  After messing up this world so much, we should have been in great fear of God’s visit.  But when He sent His Son, He sent Him to save not to condemn.  Whatever condemnation we receive is from not believing in Christ.  Not believing in Him is rejecting Him and the One who sent Him.  And “God’s wrath remains on” all who do not believe.

My Advice – Don’t wait until our Father calls you home to believe.  Then it will be too late.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
