“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.” (Daniel 2:20–22, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Is it possible that the “times and seasons” are about to change? With His first advent, Jesus ushered in the “age or season of grace.” As His second advent draws closer, a new season, a time of God’s great wrath will be ushered in. A time so terrible, that if it were not cut short no one would survive (Jesus’ words, not mine). “He knows what lies in [the] darkness” that looms ahead of us. He revealed some of it in His Olivet Discourse, and still more in the last book of the Bible — Revelation.
My Advice – The “light [that] dwells with Him,” will come, but first comes the darkness. If we’ve learned anything in this current pandemic (child’s play compared with what’s to come) it would be wise to be prepared.
