What A Bargain
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20–21, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Made, not as in “coerced,” but as in making it possible. Christ who had no sin, was made sin so that those with sin (everyone) could be made as if they had not sinned. The righteous for the unrighteous. One priceless sacrifice for the many who were worthless because of sin.
My Advice – Take the trade. It’s the best bargain you could ever possibly get.
I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
