“God also said to Moses, ‘I am the LORD. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty [El Shaddai], but by my name the LORD [Yahweh] I did not make myself known to them.'” (Exodus 6:2–3, NIV 1984).
My Musings – How do you know Him? Do you know Him as Savior through His Son Jesus Christ? Until you know Him as that, you will not know Him any other way except as judge. But knowing Him as Savior is just the beginning. The starting line in life’s marathon. We need to know Him also as Lord (having power, authority, or influence) of our lives. The initial surrender (justification) of our lives must continue as living sacrifices as our lives are transformed (sanctification) into the image and likeness of His Son as He prepares us for the final aspect of our salvation — glorification. “Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” (1 Corinthians 13:12, NIV 1984).
My Advice – How poor is the reflection in your life? Is there any reflection at all? You must know Him as Savior before there can be any reflection at all. Then polish that mirror.
