“God also said to Moses, ‘I am the LORD. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty [El Shaddai], but by my name the LORD [Yahweh] I did not make myself known to them.'” (Exodus 6:2–3, NIV 1984). 

My Musings – How do you know Him?  Do you know Him as Savior through His Son Jesus Christ?  Until you know Him as that, you will not know Him any other way except as judge.  But knowing Him as Savior is just the beginning.  The starting line in life’s marathon.  We need to know Him also as Lord (having power, authority, or influence) of our lives.  The initial surrender (justification) of our lives must continue as living sacrifices as our lives are transformed (sanctification) into the image and likeness of His Son as He prepares us for the final aspect of our salvation — glorification.  “Now we…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
