Be There

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” (Revelation 22:13, NIV 1984).

From everlasting to everlasting you are God. (Psalm 90:2, NIV 1984).

My Musings – A seeming paradox of our unfathomable God. He who was first had no beginning. He who will be last, will have no end. When time, space and matter began, He was already there. When the heavens “disappear with a roar,” the elements are “destroyed by fire,” and “time shall be no more,” He will continue. As He was, so shall He be. “From everlasting to everlasting.

My Advice Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come. (Revelation 1:4, NIV 1984). He ( the uncaused causer) started it all, and He will end it all. And make all things new. I’ll be there. Will you?

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
