My Musings – “Many a man claims to have unfailing love.” Claim. To state or assert that something (“unfailing love“) is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof. Unfailing. Claims are easy to make, especially if there is no evidence or proof. Not failing (past and present) and not liable to fail (future). Claims are easy to make, especially if there has been no failure to the present. While this may be a good indication of what to expect in the future, it is not an assurance that there will not be failure.
