My Musings – When Adam sinned, he and all his “children” died twice. On the day he ate the forbidden fruit he died spiritually, and all mankind has lived under that shadow ever since. Banished from the garden, Adam eventually also died physically. This is an appointment that we all must keep, not just because of that first trespass, but also for the sins all of us have committed that ratify Adam’s poor choice. Left to our own devices, “like water spilled on the ground. [we] cannot [recover].” “God does not take way [our] life. We give it up voluntarily.
