My Musings – While there is a specific context to this verse (which I encourage you to read), I think the message it conveys is important for all who believe in and claim to follow God to carefully consider. Who do we consult when there is a choice to be made, a problem to solve, a relationship to mend? If God is not our first resort, then we have some growing to do, some faith that needs strengthening, some trust that needs work. It’s not that God has not been trying to teach us, that He is not faithful, or that He has done something to cast doubt on His trustworthiness. We have met the “enemy,” and he is us.
