“The LORD had said to Abram, ‘Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.’ So Abram left, as the LORD had told him.” (Genesis 12:1–4, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Why aren’t God’s promises enough for us? Why do we need to know all of the details between where we are and where He is taking us? Is it that “He” cannot be trusted? Of course not! Or is it because “we” do not trust Him enough? If there is a third option, I’m all ears.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
