Unfathomable

“To whom will you compare Me?  Who is My equal?” says the Holy One.  Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.  (Isaiah 40:25, 28, NIV 1984).

My Musings – The expected answers are that not only does He not have an equal, but no one even comes close. He is incomparable. We do know. We have heard. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20, NIV 1984). This was true in the past (before the creation of the world), is true now, and will be true forever, for He is everlasting. Nothing wearies Him and nothing is beyond His understanding. So much so that it is beyond our comprehension.

My Advice – Worship the LORD, for He is worthy.
